When Katherine first reached out to me about doing her engagement photos, I knew immediately we’d get along. Flying in from Texas for a trip to NYC, she and her fiance had plans to do their shoot in Grand Central where he proposed. Grand Central is, in my opinion, one of the most amazing buildings in New York and I couldn’t wait to shoot there. We wanted to add a little variety in terms of location and I discovered the Campbell Apartment, a public bar and cocktail lounge located in the building. After a long chain of email letters for about a month, the three of us were given private access to the bar an hour before it opened for some amazing pictures. Though I wasn’t allowed to bring lighting, the moodiness of the space allowed for hi-speed ultra grainy film and romantic black and whites.

We ended our session in Central Park, a classic for NYC travelers, which ended up being some of my favorites from the session. I was so lucky to be part of this special destination engagement and hope you enjoy!
